An emotive, vibrant, multicultural engagement session in the heart of DFW
There are couples who show up and immediately feel like friends… and then there’s Jen & Azeem — the kind of “we’d absolutely grab ramen with you again” people who make this job feel like joy on joy. These two are getting married in Spring 2026, and the celebration is going to be a beautifully blended Jewish–Muslim, multi-day, vibrant-as-heck wedding. So this engagement session? It wasn’t just a photoshoot. It was a long-awaited chance to hang out again, soak up their energy, and celebrate the start of a really special season.
And because they’re absolute legends, they wanted their engagement session on Jen’s birthday. You know we brought a cupcake. Obviously.
Reverchon Park: A Hidden Gem for Dallas Engagement Sessions
We kicked things off at Reverchon Park, which is somehow still a bit of a secret in the DFW photography world — and part of us wants to keep it that way. It’s tucked just enough off the beaten path to stay peaceful, but still flooded with gorgeous pockets of light, layers of foliage, and just the right amount of elevation change to make a single location feel like three.
And with Jen in that insane blue patterned dress (future wardrobe guide MVP) and Azeem in soft pink? The color combo popped against the greens and golds in the most effortless way. This is exactly the kind of outfit pairing we always hope for — coordinated, expressive, and complimentary without trying too hard. Truly… chef’s kiss.
What we love most about photographing these two is the way they move together. They’re goofy, warm, up for anything, and so deeply at ease in each other’s orbit. There was no “warming up period,” no stiff first five minutes. They were instantly themselves — laughing, teasing, just being them. The kind of couple who reminds you that the best photos aren’t posed, they’re felt.
White Rhino Coffee Break
About halfway through, we took a quick detour to White Rhino Coffee for caffeine and a reset. They changed outfits, we caught up on life, and Jen got her little birthday cupcake moment. It was quiet, unhurried, natural — the kind of pause we love building into engagement sessions because it keeps things human.
Their second outfits gave us a whole new palette to play with:
- Azeem in that deep red sweater (who gave him permission to look that good?)
- Jen in a floral black skirt that moved like magic
The color contrast between the two of them was so rich and intentional-looking without being matchy or overly styled. Outfit perfection.
Modern, Timeless Photos at The Meyerson Symphony Center
From there, we walked over to the Meyerson Symphony Center — easily one of the most iconic modern spots in Downtown Dallas. The architectural lines, the soft curves of the concrete, the way the sunset bounces between the buildings… it creates this cinematic, editorial energy that we can’t get enough of.
This is where their vibe shifted from playful to soft and intimate. Azeem leaning Jen against the wall, the way she looked up at him, that forehead-touch moment — pure magic. We had trees wrapped in twinkle lights, the city humming quietly around us, and these two in their own little bubble.
When we talk about a “timeless yet modern” Dallas engagement session, this is what we mean. It’s romantic without being stuffy. Elevated without losing the realness.
A Preview of Their Multicultural Spring Wedding
Jen & Azeem’s wedding next spring is going to be an absolute dream — a Jewish–Muslim, multi-day celebration filled with color, culture, tradition, intention, and so much love. Sessions like this one feel especially meaningful because they’re the quiet before the (beautiful) storm. Just the two of them. Just the love. Just the joy.
We’re honored to be trusted with telling their story — every layer, every moment, every tradition, every celebration. If this engagement session is any indication of what’s ahead… their wedding is going to be nothing short of incredible.
