at The Historic Schoolhouse Event Venue in Dallas, Texas

Tim & Josh’s springtime LGBTQ wedding at the historic Schoolhouse in Dallas, Texas was beyond perfection. It was filled with personal touches that beautifully embodied who they are as both individuals and as a couple! While they thought they had every aspect of their wedding day planned, they quickly discovered so much more was awaiting them in the day ahead! Surprise visitors, severe storms, clocks, birthday cakes, and audio recordings, OH MY! This wedding was packed full of fun from start to finish!

The Wedding Day

Tim & Josh’s wedding day started off with an out of their world surprise! They are both avid gamers and had sent out a wedding invitation to one of their favorite gaming companies, Riot Games to thank them for the unique role they played in Tim & Josh’s and relationship. Tim & Josh received an email back and felt over the moon for that alone.

Little did they know, the entire staff fell in love with their story. With a little help from Josh’s brother, Stephen, a surprise breakfast had been set up.

Tim & Josh sat down at a table to order breakfast when all of a sudden, in walked Jeremy Lee (aka Riot Brightmoon), Executive Producer for their favorite Riot Games, League of Legends. As if breakfast with Jeremy Lee wasn’t enough in itself, Riot Brightmoon came with a very special gift. After sitting down, he played a video from the entire League of Legends team congratulating Tim & Josh on their wedding. In the video, the team sang a customized rendition of one of their songs made especially for Tim & Josh. Finally, Jeremy Lee handed them a scrapbook filled with messages of love and support from the Riot Games staff. In the album was a custom poro drawing by Riot Snickerdoodle that the couple quickly had turned into matching tattoos later that weekend.

After goodbye hugs, Stephen sent Tim & Josh off to a spa date while he began preparations at the venue with the help of family and friends.

The Ceremony

Tim and Josh’s ceremony was filled with roars of laughter and cheers from the moment they walked down the aisle. Their friend, Travis, kept all of the guests in stitches with celebratory jokes about the couple and all their future would hold together. It was hilarious, totally uniquely them, and a total spitfire way to kick off their wedding festivities!

The Reception

Their reception was packed full of details that Tim and his mom had made together. From the glowing centerpieces, hanging floral features, and customized carpentry that featured their history hung it’s shelves, their entire reception decor was a DIY masterpiece. As we walked through the venue it felt like we had known Tim & Josh our entire lives. With photos of their animals on custom graphics at the bar, to the history room filled with their colorguard costumes and props, and a memorial corner to Tim’s father complete with his guitar- it was wall to wall, floor to ceiling story of THEM.

As dinner wrapped up and toasts started, even more surprises began to unfold. While Josh’s best friend, Lexie started her toast she asked Tim & Josh to open a gift. Inside of the bag was a clock who’s time had been set to the exact minute of their first kiss! Their final toast was a surprise recording from Tim’s high school best friend, Ki’El. There was not a single dry eye in sight…including mine. Before opening up their dance floor, Tim pulled out one final surprise for Josh. Not only was it their wedding but it was ALSO Josh’s 25th birthday! Friends and family brought out a cake with a lit candle and sang Happy Birthday to Josh as he kicked off 25 with a party of a lifetime!

They rest of the night was spent dancing, visiting with friends and family, and drinking custom cocktails. It was an absolute dream to celebrate two people who loved each other so deeply for all they already were and all that they would grow to become together.
