Elopements are all about keeping things simple, meaningful, and focused on what truly matters—your love story. When Lauren reached out to Will and I to photograph her Fort Worth elopement at the Tarrant County Courthouse, we couldn’t have been more excited. Lauren and I have known each other since high school, so getting to capture such an intimate day felt extra special.

For the last few years, we’ve had the privilege of watching Lauren find her perfect person, and let me tell you—Chris is the one. It was beautiful to witness how they complement each other so perfectly, how he so tenderly played with her during portraits and of course the occasional DND nerd talk didn’t hurt either. : P

Lauren has never been a fan of being in the spotlight, so an elopement just made sense for them. The idea of a huge, elaborate wedding didn’t fit who she is, and that’s the beauty of elopements—they allow you to do things your way. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Lauren and Chris exchanged vows in a private, intimate ceremony at the courthouse. It was simple, heartfelt, and full of joy, followed by a cozy dinner reception to celebrate afterwards.

As a DFW wedding photographer, these moments remind me why we do what we do.
