We’re so excited to share this sweet rooftop engagement session at one of Dallas’ most iconic venues—the Warwick Melrose Hotel. This special day was a perfect mix of love, laughter, and a little surprise (spoiler alert: we’re talking about an adorable Australian Doodle puppy!). Chuck and Nate traveled all the way from New York City to capture this beautiful moment before their wedding later this year at the Warwick Melrose—and we couldn’t have been more thrilled to be a part of it.

A Rooftop Engagement Session Full of Style & Cuddles

Though the weather decided to keep us on our toes (hello, overcast skies and off-and-on rain!), we made it work in true “We got this!” fashion. While we had hoped for some iconic rooftop shots with a stunning Dallas skyline backdrop, the weather had other plans, and we ended up spending most of our session inside the hotel. But honestly? It was meant to be. The Warwick Melrose’s old French-inspired architecture and charming bay window were the perfect setting for this intimate session.

We captured Chuck and Nate cuddling with their sweet puppy in the cozy getting ready suite that will be theirs on their wedding day. The large bay window was the perfect spot for a romantic moment, and the soft, natural light streaming in created an atmosphere that was simply breathtaking.

A Sweet Puppy Moment We’ll Never Forget

While the couple’s connection and chemistry were already obvious, there was one moment that stood out above the rest: Chuck and Nate were gazing out the bay window, looking like they belonged in a movie, when their adorable Australian Doodle puppy hopped up on the window sill, paws resting just next to them. It was such a simple moment, but one that felt so genuine—just three of them, together, in their own little world. These are the moments we live for as wedding photographers.

The puppy’s playful energy brought a spark of fun to the session and added a level of warmth and authenticity to the photos. We’re thrilled they decided to include their pup in the shoot, and we can’t wait to see how the little one adds to their wedding day!
