Welcome to the Lone Star State, where love and sports come together in a remarkable celebration! Sam & Koy’s met at Abilene Christian University and have been inseparable since! Their fun loving timeless DFW wedding at The Springs Event Venue was beyond a blast! They were surrounded by their friends and loved ones from the very beginning of the day and went out with a total bang (or should I say splash) like we have never seen before!
From our very first meeting, they were up for adventure and out of the box concepts! They knew that above all else they just wanted to have an incredible time together with epic photos in the end and HOLY SMOKES they sure did!
The DFW Wedding Day
Sam started her day with group yoga with her bridesmaids while Koy and the guys rolled up to the venue in true NCAA athlete form that was nothing short of boujee. While the girls sipped on mimosas and were pampered in the bridal suite of the stunning manor inspired venue, the guys spent their time playing cards, sipping their flasks and having spontaneous dance offs.
The Timeless Ceremony
Their outdoor ceremony was beyond beautiful. They stood under a sparkling chandelier while exchanging rings and saying “I Do.” Their massive wedding party- complete with soccer conference champion s and ACU football players- stood in stacked lines huddled close as they celebrated, cheered and happy cried for their friends. Sam and Koy chose to have a sand ceremony towards the end before wrapping their ceremony up with a giant first kiss and roaring cheers from all who watched. As they exited as husband and wife, their guests threw celebratory dried lavender and passed along high fives and hugs as they recessed the aisle.
The Fun-Loving Reception
Their reception was an over the top rager that started and literally never stopped (and ran into overtime I might add….keep scrolling to see what I mean.) The food was amazing, the drinks were flowing, and the dance floor stayed packed all night long. Samantha surprised everyone with a stunningggg outfit change and was an absolute showstopper all night! The guys went outside briefly for an ACU football war cry and 212 defense chant that I’m positive could have been heard miles away. The athetics in everyone came out during one of the most cut-throat bouquet tosses I’ve ever seen and a garter toss that had everyone in the room rolling in laughter. They wrapped up their reception at the venue with a grand sparkler exit and Will’s shirt caught on fire for once again! Hey, it’s a gamble when you’re in the thick of the chaos but well worth it every time and we are here for it! We all loaded up from there to head to their Airbnb for the fun loving, timeless, Texas wedding’s never stopping, afterparty (and final splash!)
The After Party With A Splash
The cool night and even colder water didn’t stop these two over-achievers from ending the night with an epic splash. They gathered at their Airbnb with friends who rooted Sam and Koy along as they took a plunge into marriage. A giant jump into the icy cold pool was quickly followed by tequila and a hot shower. That was Will and my cue to wrap it up for the night and while our part of the parted ended then, our celebration of their love continues.

The Engagement Session
We had a blast with these two precious humans for their engagement session! Sam & Koy chose to mix both nature and creative concepts into their session. We started the session at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano, Texas and focused on featuring their laughter, goofiness and deep love for each other while hiking around. We took a break from the heat to grab dinner and margaritas together at Mi Cocina before ending the night with a few out of the box, creative and uniquely them portraits in The Colony, Texas.
