Some sessions just click—not because everything’s posed perfectly or the light is flawless (though hey, we did do all that too), but because the energy feels right. Ashley & Tom brought that kind of energy. The kind that says, “We trust you. Let’s create something that actually feels like us.” And that trust? That’s what made their Dallas Arboretum engagement session such a standout.

These two showed up with style, personality, and a willingness to lean into both our go-to prompts and our more playful, offbeat ideas. From romantic strolls under the trees to spontaneous bursts of laughter, they let us in—and the result is a gallery that feels genuine, vibrant, and unapologetically them.

Something else that meant a lot to all of us: Ashley shared how important it was to have their different skin tones captured accurately and beautifully. That’s something we take seriously in every session. As inclusive, documentary photographers, honoring and celebrating every couple’s individuality is at the core of what we do—and knowing that it was one of the reasons they chose us? Completely humbling.
