Fort Worth Engagement Photographer
A Stormy Start to the Morning
There’s something wildly humbling about waking up at 4am to the sound of thunder shaking your windows when you have an engagement session scheduled at sunrise.
After weeks of nonstop spring storms across DFW, Riddhi & Rishabh’s engagement session had already been rescheduled once due to rain. So when we checked the radar that morning and heard absolute chaos outside, we honestly weren’t sure if this session was going to happen at all.
But sometimes Texas weather surprises you in the best way.
By the time we arrived in Fort Worth, the storms had softened into thick clouds and slow morning light that created the dreamiest glow across Trinity Park. The grass was lush from all the recent rain. The trees looked impossibly green. The entire park felt quiet and still in that rare way only sunrise sessions can.
And somehow, everything came together perfectly.
Starting Their Fort Worth Engagement Session at Trinity Park
Riddhi & Rishabh actually live just steps away from Trinity Park, so the morning started with them literally walking over from their downtown Fort Worth home alongside their adorable dog, Arlo. Honestly? It could not have felt more “them.”
One of our favorite things about engagement sessions is when couples intentionally choose locations that genuinely connect to their real life together. Instead of selecting places just because they’re trendy or popular on Pinterest, they chose spots that already feel woven into their story.
Trinity Park gave us the perfect cozy, natural backdrop to include Arlo in a relaxed way before heading over to the Kimbell Art Museum for a more elevated and architectural feel.
Engagement Photos with Their Dog, Arlo
And yes, Arlo absolutely understood the assignment.
With the help of Riddhi’s dad keeping him happy, walked, and ready for his close-up while we photographed the two of them first, he stepped in at exactly the right time and completely stole the show for a few portraits.
We always tell couples that bringing a familiar person along for dog-friendly engagement sessions makes a huge difference, especially in busy public locations. Giving pets time to settle into the environment before asking them to pose helps the entire experience feel calmer for everyone involved.
Honestly, Arlo was perfect.
Modern Architecture at The Kimbell Art Museum
By the time we arrived at the Kimbell Art Museum, the soft cloud cover was still hanging around and honestly gave us some of the prettiest light we could have asked for.
Between the clean architecture, quiet walkways, reflective water features, and tree-lined paths, it was the perfect contrast to the softer nature-focused start at Trinity Park.
But what made this session feel so special really had nothing to do with weather or locations.
It was the way these two move together.
Romantic, Documentary-Style Engagement Photos That Felt True to Them
Riddhi & Rishabh are the kind of couple who naturally settle into each other. Tender. Romantic. Completely trusting.
Every pose, prompt, movement, and quiet little in-between moment felt genuine because they never tried to perform for the camera. They simply showed up exactly as themselves.
Honestly, that’s always the goal.
We never want engagement sessions to feel overly stiff or forced. The best photos happen when couples stop worrying about “doing it right” and instead focus on each other. That’s exactly what happened here.
From soft forehead touches under the trees at Trinity Park to slow walks through the Kimbell’s modern architecture, their entire session felt calm, connected, and deeply authentic to who they are together.
And after spending the morning with them, we already know their wedding at Knotting Hill Place next spring is going to be something incredibly special.
We genuinely cannot wait.
