Hey friends! It’s us, The MacMeekens—your favorite Dallas wedding photographers obsessed with capturing wildly authentic love stories. Today, we’re beyond excited to feature the future Mr. & Mrs. Strain’s North Texas Garden Engagement Session! Their big day at The Laurel in Grapevine is just around the corner, and we’ve already had the pleasure of getting Rebecca & Billy in front of our cameras.

We kicked off their engagement session with a special guest—none other than their fur baby, Bear! After some sweet moments with him, we explored a couple of our favorite DFW garden locations with just Rebecca & Billy. The Grapevine Botanic Gardens always surprises us, and this time the tropical plants made it feel like we were on a coastal destination shoot! For part two of their session, we headed to Bob Jones Nature Preserve, where we discovered the City of Grapevine had revamped the barn on the property. It felt so symbolic—change was in the air, both for Rebecca & Billy and the North Texas landscape around us. Plus, with the seasons shifting in DFW, we were treated to those golden hues that make for the dreamiest photos.

As North Texas wedding photographers, sessions like this remind us how much we love the ever-changing beauty of the area. Whether it’s a DFW wedding, a Grapevine engagement session, or a day spent at The Laurel, there’s always something special in the air.
