There are some wedding days that feel bigger than a single moment. Bethany & Kyle’s fall wedding at The Mason Dallas was one of those days — classic, bold in texture and color, and filled with people who genuinely adore them. And lucky me… it also landed on my 35th birthday. 🎉

This Dallas wedding was a dream to document from the minute we stepped into The Mason’s historic halls — the paneling, the mirrors, the architectural drama, the Green Room… it all feels like a hug from old Hollywood. And with a bride who works in design, every detail had purpose.

Thoughtful Style, Elevated Experience

Bethany has a designer’s brain — she sees pattern and texture as storytelling tools. So when she said the vision for her day was “classic, packed with patterns, textures, colors,” she meant it.

Miniature table lamps softly lighting each table. Intentional candle colors that tied the room together. A cake meadow with blooms growing upward from the base. A ceremony aisle that felt editorial luxury and intimate all at once. The whole wedding looked like high-end interior design brought to life.

Getting Ready With the Best People

Bethany spent the morning at The Mason Dallas with Blair Beauty Group — one of our all-time favorites hair and makeup artists — making the getting-ready experience fun instead of frantic. Erin, her Maid of Honor and best friend, helped her into her gown. She’s an extroverted CEO (powerhouse bestie energy), and the two of them kept the room light, calm, and full of joy.

Meanwhile, Kyle and his guys did what every aerospace-engineer-groom clearly does before tying the knot: hit the gun range. 🤣 They arrived at the venue around 2pm, suited up, and were photo-ready before 3. Kyle’s Best Man, Ryan, has been in his life since college — the perfect hype guy, equally extroverted, equally brilliant.

The Paper Airplane Exit: Nerdy, Personal, Perfect

About a month before the wedding, I called Jenn (Turn The Paige Events — planner extraordinaire and also one of my best friends) with a slightly wild idea:

“What if their ceremony exit was… PAPER AIRPLANES?”

Kyle is an aerospace engineer has spent his entire career working for airline companies. It just made sense (at least to my very excitable brain). When Bethany said yes, we got to work.

One Saturday night, our whole family turned the kitchen table into a flight-test lab — perfecting a design that actually flew. Once we landed on The One™, Will, our kids, and I folded about 100 planes. The scene was chaotic and hilarious.

When those airplanes took flight down the aisle, it was everything: fun, sentimental, surprising, and wildly on-brand for them.

A Wedding That Felt Like Them

Bethany & Kyle have been together for years, and you can tell. They’re comfortable together. They share the kind of ease you only get from being best friends first. They care deeply about the people in their lives, and those same people showed up big for them.

Every hug, every cheer, every happy-tear moment felt earned and real. This wasn’t just a beautiful Dallas wedding — it was two humans committing to a life that already fits them perfectly.
