Morning rituals, city strolls, and a trolley ride straight out of a movie
Some engagement sessions are about finding a beautiful spot.
The best ones?
They’re about choosing a place that already feels like home.
Travis & Erika completely nailed that.
They live and work in Uptown Dallas, and instead of chasing a trendy location or forcing something that didn’t fit, they chose to celebrate the area that’s quietly shaped their everyday life together. Their routines. Their rhythms. Their version of normal—which, honestly, is where the best stories live.
From the very beginning, this session felt less like “taking photos” and more like stepping into a morning they’ve lived a hundred times before.
Starting where their days always begin | White Rhino Coffee
We kicked things off at White Rhino Coffee, the spot Travis & Erika always walk to for morning caffeine before heading into their busy workdays. Starting the session here felt symbolic in the best way—grounded, intentional, and full of good-luck energy.
They ordered drinks, laughed easily, settled into their familiar rhythm. A cup of tea, a few photos, and zero pressure to perform. Just the two of them, exactly as they are.
This is why we love sessions that start with something real. When you begin in a place tied to your actual life, everything softens. The photos follow naturally.
Sun-soaked strolls through Griggs Park
From there, we walked over to Griggs Park, and truly—Dallas showed off.
The sun was bright.
The sky was clear.
The weather? Absolute perfection.
It was one of those days where the city slows down just enough for you to notice it. We wandered through the park, letting moments unfold instead of forcing them. Sitting close. Walking hand in hand. Laughing at nothing in particular.
Uptown has this incredible balance of energy and calm, and Travis & Erika fit right into it. Effortless. Connected. Completely at ease.
A downtown trolley moment (yes, it was as cute as it sounds)
For our final adventure, we hopped on the downtown Dallas trolley—and honestly? We’re still not over it.
It was cozy. Charming. And somehow felt straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie (minus the snow, obviously). There’s something about slowing down inside a moving city that creates instant intimacy. Close quarters. Soft light. A little laughter as the world rolls by outside the windows.
Engagement sessions that actually reflect your life
What made this Uptown Dallas engagement session so special wasn’t just the locations—it was the intention behind them. Travis & Erika didn’t choose places because they were “photo-worthy. They chose places because they mattered.
And that’s always our goal.
Your engagement photos should feel like a reflection of your life as it is right now—not a version of you that feels staged or disconnected. When you build your session around the places that anchor your relationship, the result is honest, relaxed, and deeply personal.
Travis & Erika, thank you for trusting us to explore your corner of Dallas with you. Getting to document your story in a place that sits at the core of your relationship was such a gift—and we’re still smiling about that trolley ride.
If you’re planning an engagement session and wondering how to make it feel more you, take notes from these two: start with your everyday magic. The rest will take care of itself.
And if that magic lives in Uptown Dallas? We’re already lacing up our walking shoes.
