Carly & Cole’s Luxury Downtown Dallas Wedding at Hotel Crescent Court
If you’re looking for modern elegance with a personal twist, Carly & Cole’s wedding at Hotel Crescent Court was exactly that—and then some. From their tearful handwritten vows to their Death Star groom’s cake and final lightsaber exit, this day brought every kind of emotion (and a whole lot of style) under one very classy, slightly chaotic, and totally unforgettable roof.
Getting Ready at Hotel Crescent Court
We arrived early in the morning, just as the sun was coming up over Downtown Dallas, for full-day documentary coverage—the only way we roll. Hotel Crescent Court is iconic for a reason. Its timeless architecture, soft natural light, and luxurious suites set the stage for a morning full of quiet emotion and meaningful moments.
Carly got ready surrounded by soft music, handwritten vows, and the calm presence of her mom and close friends. Her bridal look? Sleek, romantic, and effortlessly stunning. One moment that stood out: her dad placing her veil in before she stepped into her gown—an unexpected and deeply sweet gesture that caught everyone off guard in the best way.
Meanwhile, Cole was tucked away in his own suite, getting dressed with his dad and best friends. Before seeing each other down the aisle, Carly & Cole exchanged letters, just like the notes they used to pass back in college. In fact, Cole had asked Carly on their very first date with a hand-written note and a checkbox to mark “yes” or “no”. On their wedding day, he sent another—asking if she’d marry him today, with a box for “yes” and one for “no.” (Spoiler: she checked yes.)
The Ceremony – A Change of Plans with a Perfect Ending
Rain had been teasing us all morning, and just before the ceremony, it made its move. With less than an hour to spare, the decision was made to bring the ceremony indoors. The floral team and wedding planner moved quickly, transforming an interior space with a stunning broken floral arch that surrounded the couple in color and texture. It was an incredibly intimate setup—tight, packed with loved ones, and absolutely bursting with energy.
Despite the last-minute changes, the ceremony was unforgettable. They walked in to a custom-arranged song blending the traditional wedding march with the Star Wars score—personal and subtle in the best way. And when Carly walked in, Cole’s reaction said it all. It’s those raw, unfiltered moments that make us fall in love with this work over and over again.
Portraits with a Bit of Magic
Just after the ceremony, the skies cleared—literally. The rain let up, the light shifted, and we were able to sneak outside for portraits. The newlywed energy was strong, the golden light was on our side, and honestly…it felt like the universe gave them a window just big enough to soak it all in. Carly and Cole melted into each other so naturally—it was less about posing and more about witnessing two best friends who just promised forever.
Reception Goals: Floor-to-Ceiling Florals, a Packed Dance Floor & a Death Star Cake
As guests entered the reception space, they were greeted with floor-to-ceiling florals, warm candlelight, and beautifully curated details. From the cigar bar to the espresso cart to the live artist and band ready to rock the night away, it was a luxury experience built entirely around joy, presence, and celebration.
They kept speeches short, limiting them to just their parents—a decision that made every word feel more intentional and heartfelt. One moment flowed into the next, with no shortage of laughter, tears, and a dance floor that stayed full until the very last song.
And of course, the cake cutting moment didn’t disappoint. Carly’s cake was a stunning, classic design. But Cole’s? A custom Death Star creation that brought just the right amount of fandom into the evening. And as if that wasn’t enough, their final exit was under a canopy of lightsabers. Yes—lightsabers. And it was epic.
Why This Wedding Stuck With Us
What made this day truly unforgettable wasn’t just the details (though they were flawless). It was the way Carly got misty-eyed while writing her vows. The way Cole looked at her during the ceremony. The way their families leaned in with love at every turn.
We always say this, but it’s worth repeating: We don’t just show up to take pretty pictures. We’re there to witness and preserve the full story—messy, joyful, tearful, wild, whatever it looks like. Carly & Cole’s wedding reminded us exactly why we do what we do.
